Artist's Comments

This was my entry for Concept Tuesday, a concept art activity held by art director of Wizards of the Coast.

The challenge was to take a race, and imagine what they would be like 4000 years into the future. I picked the dragonborn

I imagine the dragonborn have ditched evolution and joined with machines. Each soldier gets a supercomputer which processes everything it sees. Speed and mobility have been replaced with miniguns. Flight has also been replaced with miniguns. I kept the sword just in case the enemy gets in close.

hehe, i always imagined the dragonborn to be the d&d4s klingons, trueness to tradition and all that - but somehow, ditching everything in favor of more miniguns fits well, too :D

am i right in assuming that the challenge you speak of is located at [link]?

:devil:: I am anti-life, the beast of judgement. I am the dark at the end of everything. The end of universes, gods, worlds... of everything. And what will you be then, Dreamlord?
:sleep:: I am hope.

yup thats the one, he holds a weekly challenge similar to COW. I wanted to enter the undead dinosaur but missed it, so i picked the dragonborn to compensate.
